A stand-alone CD on flight radio which guides you through all of the complexities of radio use, in various types of airspace and operations. It is self-paced and interactive with repeatable sample transmissions. Extremely valuable for the infrequent flyer and for those pilots for whom English is a second language.
This interactive CD has been developed to illustrate in sound the words, contexts and procedures for flight radio under visual flight rules. It will take you from the basics of phonetic alphabet through the procedures, correct calls and responses for operations OCTA, in MBZ or CTAF areas, at GAAP aerodromes an in CTA, to emergency situations. It also highlights some of the more common errors and gives some examples of not-so-good calls.
It is an invaluable supplement to the Flight Radio for Pilots manual and provides the opportunity to listen to and practice your calls at home using your PC.
